This is what Linzi told us when she came into Foodbank a few weeks ago: ‘I’ve been six weeks without money because I was transferred from income support to universal credit and then the money was stopped. Foodbank has saved us both today, we haven’t eaten for 3 days again, it’s saved us from doing something stupid to get money for food. I was starving and couldn’t think straight. I am so grateful that Foodbank is here, it’s such a friendly place and it’s just what you need when you feel like I did; someone to talk to, who just listens and shows love. I wish we didn’t need it but I feel so much better now I know I wasn’t judged and that people understand.’
