1. Contact one of our referral agencies
To get a parcel you’ll need to obtain a food voucher from one of our many referral agencies such as social services, refugee action, healthcare professional you can contact them and ask them for a Foodbank voucher. Or if you are in receipt of any benefits you can go to the Job Centre and ask for a voucher. If the referral agency feels you are struggling to put food on the table, they will issue you with a foodbank voucher.
2. Bring your foodbank voucher to one of our sessions.
Bring your voucher and come and see us on a Mondays, Wednesdays or Friday between 11.00 and 1.30. We’ll welcome you with a warm meal and our trained volunteers will chat with you about your situation. We’ll also discuss any dietary needs you may have and exchange your foodbank voucher for a parcel of three days of emergency food. We are based at The Light Centre, 86 Captain Street, BD1 4EL.
