Nathaniel’s Story

1st September 2026

Please take the time to read Nathaniel’s story and I promise you it will give you hope! Thank you for your support!

“Two years ago, I walked through these doors at my lowest point, struggling with anxiety and depression and unsure of my place in the world. This foodbank didn’t just give me food and a place to volunteer; they gave me a family that protected me and took care of me when I couldn’t do it for myself.

I learned about work skills, UK culture and how to feel valued again. You stood by me through the tears and the job search, cheering me on until I finally landed this full-time role. I’m walking away with more than just a CV; I’m walking away with a life I love and a family I’ll never forget. Thank you for saving me in all the ways that matter.”

As well as feeding thousands of people we also offer wrap around advice services to help people out of the root cause of food crisis including Job Coaching. People are also able to volunteer which helps add work skills and experience to their CV’s to help them back into work.

Thank you again.

P.s. We really do need your food donations! We’re running short of baked beans again!!
