10th October 2025

Hey there,

I hope you had a good summer! After a break it’s always good to remind and inspire yourself about why you do what you do. We do this work and you supported us in the past because it’s urgently needed and it really helps people in their crisis situation.

So I was really encouraged when Justin recently told me how we’d helped and I hope you are too!

“I was quite broken when I first came in. I was struggling financially, my mental health was really bad – my head was all over the place, there was no hope. I felt worthless. The volunteers rallied around to help me, getting me something to eat and benefits advice. Knowing that I’m not alone and that I’ve been supported, gradually just by being here – my confidence has gone up and I feel transformed. I’ve been able to rebuild my life and to get back on my feet.
I’m trying to be a care worker – I love people and helping people. And if I can do for someone else what you’ve done for me I’d find that really rewarding.”

Over July and August, we fed 2731 people.
We do really need more food, so we would really appreciate any food donations you can make.
Please either:
1) donate food online here,

2) give cash here or

3) drop off food donations at Jubilee Centre at the times below.

Thanks

Josie Barlow
